The Superintendent’s lawn care tips for month of September.

With the summer heat and lack of water, your lawns have seen tremendous stress.  This month our golf course superintendent, Alan Ayres, will walk you through the steps to help with your grass growth for September.

I recommend an application of Dolopril Lime this month. Lime contains calcium, and magnesium which cleans up your soils and allows the nutrients to be absorbed. Dolopril can usually be found at local retailers.

2 weeks after your lime application, spreading a light fertilizer on your lawns will help to encourage some much needed leaf and root growth. This will help the plant through the coming colder months of fall and winter.
