News, Stories, and Tips

Many couples are asking guests to leave the wedding shots to the professionals.

As technology has become so dominant in everyday life it has become a growing trend over the last few years that couples are asking their guests to “unplug” and be present during the ceremony. This means turning the phone off and leaving it in your pocket or purse.

Couples are spending hundreds of dollars on day-of photographers and videographers who are all working towards capturing those intimate moments between the couple. The last thing the couple needs is an album full of guests holding their phones in front of the photographer's shot.

Not only is it distracting for photographers but for the couple as well. The image you are going to see your bride for the first time as she walks down the aisle and then just as she turns the corner, a guest holding a phone in front of their face steps into the aisle. Moment lost. We are sure the guest doesn’t realize at the moment what just happened but had the phone never left the pocket or purse that moment could have been savored by both bride and groom.

This is a trend we hope to see more couples introducing into their ceremonies.
